Giving Back - EMRG

Giving Back

Here at EMRG, we love to give back. Beyond donating to organizations, such as the National MS Society, we’re campaigned with charity: water to bring clean drinking water to every person on the planet. We also sponsor 3 children through ChildFund International, a fund that helps deprived, excluded, and vulnerable children improve their lives.

ChildFund International

By promoting societies whose individuals and institutions participate in valuing, protecting and advancing the worth and rights of children, we give them the chance to grow up safe from harm and in communities where they can learn to become leaders.

Out children Macka, Elsa, and Dawit, are more than just a face to us. Beyond donating money every month to these children, we continually correspond with them to build lasting relationships.

Macka

macka-fadiga-16537Meet Macka, a schoolboy living with his two parents, two brothers, and one sister. Macka’s parents are farmers in their local village of Kankama, which is a small village in the Faranah Region of Guinea. Macka is one of 47 children attending the Community Education Center school. During his free time, Macka likes to play football (soccer) and swing on the swing sets at a nearby playground. Macka’s favorite foods are mangos and peanuts. As our first child sponsor, our CEO Allen Ashouri has been handwriting letters to Macka for several years. We send him pictures and small gifts to make his day brighter. We recently received a letter from Macka about how his family can now afford mosquito nets because of our support. One day we hope to sponsor over 100 kids like Macka.

We encourage you to click on any of these letters to view them.

charitywater

We campaigned with charity: water, a nonprofit on a mission to bring clean drinking water to every person on the planet. With so many people without clean water around the globe, we knew it was important to choose a charity that could make an immediate impact; and with 100% of the money raised going to the field, we’re proud of our choice.

well

Providing drinking water to every person on the planet is a goal where every penny counts. We were able to successfully raise over $1,5000! Our contribution went towards fixing a broken well in Malawi, one of Africa’s most densely populated and least developed countries, where water is scarce. Giving the local population access to clean drink water is vital to their survival as it improves sanitation and reduces malnutrition and water-related diseases in children.
