How do you know if you’re performing well in your business? You can do this by checking your KPIs or Key Performance Indicators. KPIs are ways where you can check on how your performance is going, how employees are performing, how the division is performing.
Here at EMRG, we have Social, SEO, PPC, Reputation Management, Websites, and Email Marketing now coming up, so with all this, divisions have to have their own KPIs, you have to know what specifics you’re trying to target. You always start with your goal, you reverse engineer back to what you’re trying to do through your action. If your goal for example is to make– let’s say 1 sale a week and you know it takes 10 meetings to get 1 sale. You know it takes hundreds of phone calls to get 10 meetings to get 1 sale. Then now you know you have to hit a hundred phone calls within a week. You split that up by 5 days, you have 20 phone calls a day, there’s a KPI.
You can do this literally on every part of your business and you should be doing it for your business especially if you have employees, especially if you have different service lines or divisions. One way you can check on yourself, a way where you can see if you’re doing the work that gets you the results that you’re planning for, are KPIs.
