Everyone asks me why do my positive Yelp reviews get filtered but the negative ones always stick around and people think it’s only their positives but Yelp has a system that an algorithm or a program or a filter that kind of guesses what they think is real and what they think is a fake review. This is why Yelp is as well known as it is.
The problem is a lot of time, especially for small businesses. Medical Practices Law Firm practices. You get a lot of negative reviews that don’t get filtered and you get a lot of positive reviews that are from actual clients that do get filtered. So the reasoning behind this there’s a few variables. There’s a lot of variables but we’ll go over a few of them. Number one you have your reviewer how strong is their account. Is this their first review. If it is and it’s a positive review more than likely it’s going to get filtered. If it’s a negative review and it’s their first review unfortunately from my experience I’ve seen that it’s more likely to not get filtered meaning it’s going to show up on your page. Why is that? If you think about the logic behind it like how does it work. What’s the honest way. When people get pissed off they go and write negative Yelp reviews. That’s the truth right.
People don’t say oh my god I had such a great experience let me go sign on creating a Yelp account and write a review. Unfortunately, that’s not how it always works. At least that’s not how Yelp seems to view it with their system. There are things you can do to help that though. I mean we offer reputation management services. We manage people’s accounts. We help generate five-star reviews from them through their clients through their customers. And when we do it in a specific sequence when we do that’s consistent times they’re less likely to get filtered. So we’ve been able to really battle that whole filtering of positive reviews with our systematic approach and we’ve taken accounts from one star to five stars but it starts with how good your company is if you have confidence that you’re doing a good job that your clients or customers are happy with you then we can work with you.
